Inside my Head by Neslihan Denizer

A touching playlist that explores ones inner world, a world in which feelings cannot be explained through words, but through sounds that carry depth and seamlessly passes through genres, geography and time. Curated by my dearest Neslihan Denizer, Executive Fashion Editor of Elle Turkey.

"I can imagine to some it seems like a confusing playlist, but it put the puzzle pieces together for me."

What does self-remembrance mean to you? What brings you back to yourself?

Self-remembrance is still a difficult thing for me, it was something I never knew was necessary, but now it has become one of the most important parts of my life. Switching off, looking within myself, self care, doing what makes me feel good.

Which of the six senses is your favorite?

Touch. Without a doubt. With touch you can explain so much without having to speak. Embracing in a hug. Holding someones hand. Putting a hand up to a cheek, to a heart. These may seem very simple, but the impact is so much more.

What awakens your inner child?

Looking out of the window of a moving car reminds me of car journeys with the family when I was a child. Also, laughing so hard my cheeks hurt. People say I laugh the exact same as I did when I was a child, hearing that makes me smile.

Where do the sounds of this playlist transport you?

This playlist transports me to Bodrum, where I put this together. It was a time I took to look after myself, some much needed self care. I can imagine to some it seems like a confusing playlist, but it put the puzzle pieces together for me.
